Shape Shifters

September 8 – November 3, 2017 Shape Shifters Patterns shape civilizations and define convention; the elements of color can denote emotion, holding a plethora of universal meaning within daily life experiences. From mass advertising to trending cultural fads, memorable icons are made out of bold color choices combined with repeat patterns. Shape Shifters is a group exhibition including artists Rachel Goodwin, Lisa Von Hoffner, and Mike Jacobs, whose works continually question perceptions of contemporary painting practices and commercial art. Through morphed shapes and forms, these artists create overwhelming environments that challenge the norm of current societal understanding of aesthetic. Join Vision Gallery for an opening reception with the artists on Thursday, September 7, 2017, 5 - 7 p.m. Vision Gallery is located at 10 E. Chicago St., Chandler, Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. And, as always, exhibits are free for the public to see.
