DESCRIPTION:The galactic feeling is strong in Chandler and come December 9\, 2017\, aliens of all shapes and sizes will take over downtown for an event that will change the space/time continuum forever!  What is sure to be the Valley's epic Chandler Symphony FanFest will be held from 2 pm to 8:30 pm at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park East.\n\nThis free outdoor extravaganza will be 'fully operational' and exploding with entertainment\, activities\, food and music for the entire family! There is something for everyone at this gathering of the galaxy!  The kids will marvel at Orbital ATK's 'Passport to Space' with over 40 engineers onsite working with kids for hands-on activities such as a real Rocket Launch every 30 minutes\, Balloon Rockets Races\, Cloud Chamber\, and Wind Tunnel to name a few of the exciting opportunities.\n\nPlay-Well TEKnologies will be bringing in 50\,000 LEGO pieces where kids\, young and old\, can construct an alien universe throughout the day.  Enjoy the Saber Toonz Kids play area and fun-tastic intergalactic demonstrations.  Enter the 'Spaceport\,' hosted by the Chandler Public Library with Cosplay story times\, arts & crafts with games and prizes. Artwork and performances to enjoy from local Chandler Unified School and Kyrene School Districts just to touch on all the fun that will be held at Fanfest 2017.\n\nCalling all Cosplay costumers!  Share your look\, your life\, your story with us in downtown Chandler!  Enjoy two Cosplay costume contests - one for children under 15 and then the big Bantha blowout competition\, the Craftsmanship Award Show conducted by professional cosplayer and prop maker Amber Brite and friends.\n\nAll this excitement leads up to the incredible live under-the-stars performance of the music that has put goosebumps on a Wookie\, classics from Academy Award-winning composer\, John Williams performed by the Chandler Symphony Orchestra and perfectly choreographed to an amazing fireworks extravaganza!\n\nSo save the date for December 9th in downtown Chandler.
