DESCRIPTION:WHAM Community Arts Center will hold its Inaugural Sonoran Desert Plein Air Festival\, scheduled for the weekend of April 6\, 7\, and 8th at Vistancia Trilogy in Peoria\, Arizona. All artists\, eighteen years and older\, novice\, intermediate or experienced\, are invited to apply for acceptance. Only fifty artists will be accepted through a juried process. Any registered artist attending may exhibit up to three of their paintings created during the event\, in an on-site gallery which will be open to the public to view and purchase on Friday\, Saturday and Sunday. The public is also invited to the artists' reception on Saturday evening and the awards ceremony Sunday at 3:30 p.m. For more information about the festival or to apply for artist's admission\, log on to http://www.wham-art.org/sonoran-pleinair-festival.html. Deadline for applications is March 15\, on a first come\, first served basis.
