The Importance of the Colorado River Water Supply
to Central and Southern Arizona
Presented by Pamela Pickard,
Board President for the Central Arizona Project
As the largest user of energy in the state of Arizona,
Central Arizona Project's (CAP) power resources
are of particular importance. CAP obtains nearly
all of its power from the Navajo Generating Station,
a coal fired plant under review by the EPA. CAP
Board President Pamela Pickard will explain more
about this critical issue and how it could impact
water rates in Arizona.
