Qatsi, the Hopi word for life, also marks one of the most transcendent film experiences of our time. Experimental film Director Godfrey Reggio, and legendary composer Phillip Glass crafted three film events, which have been called "a fusion of picture and sound", over the span of twenty years. Each film progressively explores the dynamic between man, nature, & technology as it enters the 21st century, while only using sound and picture. From the involvement of Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, and Steven Soderbergh, this unique film trilogy allows us to reflect on life out of balance, in transformation, and as war.
