Mayor Jay Tibshraeny will present the 2013 State of the City address on Thursday, Feb. 21 at the Chandler City Council Chambers, 88 E. Chicago St. The Mayor will share Chandler’s many accomplishments over the past year, including outreach and communication with neighborhoods, college and university partnership, improvements to Downtown Chandler, and successes in business growth and development, especially in the technology sector. “Chandler’s reputation as a leader in technology and a place that cultivates innovation is creating a groundswell of interest from the business community,” said Mayor Jay Tibshraeny. “We are experiencing the success of our business friendly strategy, and will continue that strategy as we look forward to 2013.” Mayor Tibshraeny will also look to the future, and discuss events and announcements for the upcoming year, and recognize business and community leaders in the audience. The State of the City is open to all residents, beginning with a reception with the City Council in the Vision Gallery, located across the courtyard from Council Chambers at 5 p.m. The Mayor's address, and an accompanying video presentation, will begin at approximately 6 p.m. The free event will include light refreshments and no RSVP is necessary to attend.
