Topic: The History of Chandler and it’s Diverse Culture
Our speaker will be Jean Reynolds, Public History coordinator, City of Chandler
A Phoenix native, Jean joined the City of Chandler in 2003 as the Public History Coordinator, where she is currently serving as the City’s Centennial Coordinator. She has developed public-oriented projects documenting the story of Chandler’s past through oral history, book projects, exhibits, outdoor signage, website projects, and video. She also led the initial development and programming of the historic McCullough-Price House. Prior to joining the Community Services Department, Jean worked as Curator at the Arizona Historical Society. She has worked in other museum positions, as a guest producer for KAET Channel 8, and coordinated various community history and historic preservation projects in the Valley. Jean graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters in Public History.
