Dia de Los Muertos
The City of Chandler is proud to partner with Cultura Communications to produce the second annual El Día de los Muertos event in Downtown Chandler. El Día de los Muertos celebration is a festive Mexican holiday for families and friends to honor their deceased loved ones. Colorful altars (ofrendas) honoring those who have passed and ensuring they are never forgotten, are decorated with colorful flowers, candles, photos, food and more. The Chandler Fire and Police departments also are creating a beautiful altar to pay tribute to their fallen officers and firefighters. The free event will feature historical exhibits, Hispanic performers, great Mexican food, arts, merchandise, crafts and more. The evening will close with a community procession to celebrate our loved ones.
