History Bites: Photography Technology Series, Part 2
Photography Technology Series, Part 2: Conserving Wildlife with Digital Cameras How do scientists know so much about the daily lives of endangered jaguars, desert bighorn sheep, and other elusive creatures? Make tracks to Chandler Museum to find out why digital photography has become a primary tool in Arizona wildlife conservation. Eric Proctor of the Arizona Game and Fish Department will explain how digital cameras offer a non-invasive way for scientists to study animals, monitor population trends, and even help prevent accidental encounters between wildlife and drivers. Stay after the program to experience the exhibition “National Geographic’s Greatest Photographs of the American West,” on view at Chandler Museum on until February 27, 2022.
