Ribbon Cutting- The Compadres Early Learning & Family Resource Center- by AZCEND

 
The Compadres Early Learning & Family Resource Center is the new extension from AZCEND for family programs at the San Marcos Elementary School. These six classrooms will be used by AZCEND and partnerships to enhance family programming and options. AZCEND will deliver the preschool program Giggles, Squiggles, and Squirms (funded by the Compadres) as well as childwatch for siblings and other parent and child classes, in three of the rooms, with an AZCEND office for additional family resources including SNAP benefits, and rent and utility support in another room. Currently, the HIVE and Make Way for Books in partnership with AZCEND and San Marcos occupy the other two rooms. Make Way for Books gives parents and elementary students books and resources for free and the HIVE is a free digital room for all ages to learn, enjoy, and understand technology at a better level.
