State of the City
Mayor Jay Tibshraeny will present the 2014 State of the City address at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at the Chandler City Council Chambers, 88 E. Chicago St.
Mayor Tibshraeny will detail Chandler’s many successes from the past year, from business attraction achievements in the high tech sector such as General Motors and Infusionsoft, to continued college and university relationships and public/private partnerships.
“Chandler’s reputation as a leader in technology and innovation was solidified over the last year as we’ve created opportunities for businesses ranging from inventors and entrepreneurs to Fortune 500 companies,” said Mayor Jay Tibshraeny. “I look forward to building on those achievements as we move into 2014.”
In addition, the Mayor will showcase improved communications with neighborhoods, including a new mini-HOA Academy, and the inaugural Neighborhood Excellence Awards. The winners of the Neighborhood Excellence Awards will be announced by the Mayor during his State of the City address.
The Mayor's address, and an accompanying video presentation, will begin at 6 p.m., followed by light refreshments in the foyer of the City Council Chambers.
No RSVP is necessary to attend. The State of the City address will be re-broadcast periodically on the City's Cable Channel 11 and streamed on the City's web site, www.chandleraz.gov.
