Chandler Museum is hosting The Art of Survival: Enduring the Turmoil of Tule Lake, Dec. 27, 2016 – Jan. 27, 2017. This exhibit explores the experiences and events at Tule Lake, a Japanese American camp where many prisoners from Arizona’s Gila River Internment Camp were transferred. The traveling exhibition uses haunting images of artifacts to give a glimpse into the lives of those who were held at this unique WWII confinement site. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Friday, January 6, 2017, 6 – 8 p.m.
