Our guest speaker is Lori Severson with Desert Light Coaching. Lori’s specialty is the interpersonal side of business. If you want the secret decoder ring for effective communication, she can help. Her primary focus is on women, connecting them to their innate intelligence and unlocking powerful communication. In her 20 years inside large corporations she focused on developing people for increased personal effectiveness. Her experience spans high tech, manufacturing, call center, & academic environments playing management, consulting and operational roles. Lori has extensive experience training & developing teams, managers, leaders and individual contributors for Intel, General Electric, Honeywell, and McDonnell Douglas. She has developed and managed executive development offerings, including classroom training, action learning programs and executive coaching. She has coached internally at the mid and Sr. level, in both the profit and non- profit sectors. Lori served on the Steering Committee for the AZ Women’s Conference 2012 and 2013, an annual 1 day conference designed to inform, inspire and ignite women from all walks of life, and runs a women’s group to inspire women to take time to rejuvenate and connect with other women.

Lori’s coaching guides leaders to discover their full potential by examining and articulating blind spots creating new openings for action & results. She designs custom coaching programs for each client’s priorities that will accelerate development and increase personal satisfaction. Lori brings a direct yet supportive style that will challenge and support a client’s growth, and transform his or her ability to lead and succeed. Lori holds a Masters degree in Organizational Communication and a Bachelor of Science in Interpersonal/Intercultural communication both from Arizona State University.

Lori is a certified coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a Newfield Certified coach, an ICF accredited coaching program.
