Día de Juegos/Game Day
Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at the library with a special Contigo Family Game Day. Join us for some fun as we share some traditional Latinx games, board games, and video game classics too! There will be a variety of games to choose from, for all ages. Drop in between 2:30 to 4:00 pm.
Amate Painting
Join us at the Hamilton library to learn about Mexican folk art. We'll explore the traditional art of amate bark painting and create our own unique piece of folk art. Supplies is provided. For ages 6 ? 12. Registration required.
Sunset Fiesta
Join us for a fiesta day in honor of celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! There will be music, crafts, face painting and a photo booth station. Also, decorate sugar skulls with us! All ages.
Downtown Chandler Art Walk Series
Stroll the streets of Downtown to enjoy this event series from 11 am - 2 pm every other Sunday beginning September 24th. Showcasing local artists of various mediums, this FREE community event gives a platform to established artists as well as up and coming students to present and sell their craft. Make it a Sunday Funday by stopping by your favorite Downtown business for brunch, cocktails, shopping, and entertainment.
Contigo Movie Night featuring Stand and Deliver
Red Carpet Event at 3 p.m. Additional Screening at 5 p.m. Join the Chandler community in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month and the 35th Anniversary of the iconic Latino film, ?Stand and Deliver?. Walk the red carpet and enjoy an exclusive movie screening followed by a panel of Latino film industry experts, cast and crew. Dia de Los Muertos Inspired Memory Boxes
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by making a Dia de los Muertos-inspired memory box. We'll provide boxes, flameless tealight candles, and craft materials to help decorate the box. Please bring a photo(s) and any small personal items you may want to include for the person you are honoring. For ages 18 and older.
