People Manager (People & Culture)

We’re looking for a People Manager who can work across engineering, operations, and the shop floor to support our team, strengthen our culture, and help our leaders lead better.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll spend time with employees, supervisors, engineers, and leadership to improve communication, solve problems, and make sure people are set up to succeed.
What You’ll Do
People & Culture (Primary Focus)
- Be a visible, approachable resource for employees across the company
- Support supervisors, engineers, and managers with people issues, feedback, and team development
- Help improve accountability, communication, and day-to-day team performance
- Address employee concerns and resolve issues in a fair and practical way
- Support employee retention and engagement efforts
Team Leadership
- Manage a part-time Recruiting Assistant
- Help prioritize hiring needs and keep recruiting efforts moving
- Ensure new hires are onboarded properly and set up for success
Recruiting (Secondary Focus)
- Work with managers to understand hiring needs across engineering, operations, and production
- Support recruiting for key roles when needed
- Help improve hiring processes and candidate experience
HR Support
- Maintain practical HR processes and documentation
- Ensure compliance with policies and employment practices
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in HR, people operations, or a leadership role
- Comfortable working directly with engineering teams, operations, and shop-floor employees
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Practical, no-nonsense approach to handling people issues
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar environment is strongly preferred
