About Us
Chandler, Arizona is home to Northrop Grumman’s Launch Vehicles Business Unit Headquarters. Between our operating facilities we have more than 2,700 employees and over 500,000 sq.ft. of Engineering, Manufacturing and Office space. The bulk of the company’s launch vehicle design, development, manufacturing and testing operations occur at the Chandler location, where work in these specialized facilities is done on both Missile Defense and Space Launch Vehicle programs. While the majority of the design of Northrop Grumman’s launch vehicles is conducted in Chandler, assembly of the rockets occurs at launch sites around the globe where Northrop Grumman conducts launch missions for its customers. Launch Vehicles footprint in Chandler, Arizona is growing, with a new state of the art office and manufacturing building opening in the fall of 2019 and nearly $180 Million in payroll contributed to the local economy, up by $40 Million since 2017.
