United Blood Services is now Vitalant…Arizona's oldest and largest non-profit community blood center. Vitalant fulfills 100 percent of the blood transfusion needs for hospitals in 11 of the 15 Arizona counties, including Maricopa. Vitalant has 6 donor centers throughout the Metro Phoenix area, including in Mesa and Gilbert, and holds more than 300 blood drives every month throughout the state of Arizona.
