Quality Control
Position Summary Vogt Aero is seeking a full-time on-site Quality Control Inspector to work and assist with the operations within the material management area. The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting products, materials, and processes to ensure they meet company quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations. This position identifies defects, documents findings, and works with production and management teams to resolve quality issues. All team members shall be familiar with the policies and procedures outlined in the Vogt Aero quality manual and all VA processes and procedures that are applicable. The ideal team member must be a self-starter with strong attention to detail, technological literacy, and excellent communication skills. Principle Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: • Maintain quality system throughout manufacturing life cycle for on-site and outsourced manufacturing • Identify and maintain primary and secondary manufacturing suppliers for project support • Maintain supplier tracking program • Ensure all parts meet manufacturing drawings and technical specifications • Review and evaluate corrective action plan effectiveness • Conduct annual reviews of quality systems • Conduct annual reviews and maintain document control system • Continual improvement of quality processes • Ensure timely and efficient processing of incoming parts Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Technological literacy, including familiarity with server and storage systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Basic understanding of data management principles. • Experience with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges. Physical Requirements While performing the responsibilities of the job, the team member is required to read write speak and understand English. The team member is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, lift 10-30 pounds on occasion, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, engineering, or a related field. • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or associate degrees are advantageous. • 2+ years of experience in a regulated technical industry—such as aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, or quality compliance • Experience with FAA documentation, AS9100, or ISO 9001 standards. • Experience working with technical drawings, specifications, or BOMs. Compensation This compensation is dependent on experience with a range of: $50,000 - $65,000 Benefits: • Medical, dental, vision insurance • 401K with company matching • Paid time off + company holidays • Collaborative, family-owned team culture focused on precision and accountability • Professional and personal development opportunities
