Backflow Inspection & Repair Technician

Location: Phoenix Metro Area
Company: National Fire Control 

We are seeking a Backflow Inspection & Repair Technician to join our team serving the Greater Phoenix area. This position is responsible for testing, diagnosing, and repairing backflow prevention assemblies to ensure compliance with local water authority requirements and protect potable water systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform annual testing of backflow prevention assemblies (RPZ, DCVA, PVB, SVB, etc.)

• Diagnose and repair failing backflow devices

• Install replacement parts or assemblies when needed

• Complete and submit accurate testing reports to local municipalities

• Maintain calibrated testing equipment and service vehicle

• Communicate clearly with customers about results and needed repairs

Requirements

• Current Backflow Tester Certification from an ADEQ-approved authority (ABPA, ASSE/IAPMO, CA-NV AWWA, or equivalent)

• Current Backflow Repair Certification

• Experience testing and repairing backflow assemblies

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to work outdoors and lift up to 50 lbs

• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
