SOLLiD Cabinetry manufactures custom and semi-custom cabinetry at our Chandler, Arizona facility. We are looking for an experienced Finish Repair Technician to support finish repairs, touch-ups, shading, and customer-site service when needed.

Position Summary

The Finish Repair Technician is responsible for repairing, touching up, and correcting finished cabinet products to meet company quality standards. This position requires previous finishing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform skilled finish repair work both in the facility and, when needed, at customer homes.

The ideal candidate has experience with shading, touch-ups, finish repairs, and conversion varnish. This is not an entry-level position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Perform finish repairs, shading, touch-ups, and corrections on cabinet products.

· Inspect finished cabinet parts for quality concerns, defects, damage, or finish inconsistencies.

· Match color, sheen, and finish appearance as closely as possible to company standards.

· Use proper repair techniques for scratches, chips, dents, uneven finish, and other finish-related concerns.

· Work with conversion varnish and other finishing materials according to company standards.

· Travel to customer homes when needed to complete in-house finish repairs.

· Communicate repair needs, product concerns, and completed work to leads, supervisors, or managers.

· Review paperwork, work orders, labels, or customer information to confirm job details.

· Handle cabinet parts and customer products carefully to prevent additional damage.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

· Follow all company safety rules and department procedures.

· Work independently, with a partner, or as part of a team.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Previous cabinet finishing, wood finishing, touch-up, shading, or repair experience required.

· Experience with conversion varnish preferred.

· Experience performing customer-site or in-home repairs preferred.

· Ability to identify finish defects and determine proper repair methods.

· Ability to read paperwork, work orders, labels, and instructions.

· Ability to read a tape measure preferred.

· Strong attention to detail and quality.

· Reliable, punctual, and professional.

· Good communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and represent the company professionally when working at customer locations.

· Ability to understand and follow verbal work instructions and safety communication.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

· Ability to bend, reach, stretch, push, pull, and lift throughout the workday.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

· Ability to work on a factory floor around dust, noise, machinery, forklifts, and moving production activity.

· Ability to travel to customer homes when needed.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.

· Ability to safely handle cabinet parts, doors, trim, and other wood components.

Schedule Requirements

· Must be available to work scheduled shifts.

· Overtime may be required based on business needs.

· Weekend work may be required when needed.

· Local travel may be required for customer-site finish repairs.

Work Location

In person, factory floor Chandler, AZ Customer-site repair work may be required.
