About Us

Robin Hood may have stolen from the rich to feed the poor, but at Ramen Hood our mission is to bring the RICH flavors of authentic Japanese ramen to everyone!
Inspired by his love of food and his culture, Ramen Hood founder James Xie saw a need for real ramen shops like those he frequented in Japan: Quick service, casual atmosphere and damn good ramen. As a life-long restaurateur, Xie has met with seasoned ramen chefs throughout Japan to create the perfect bowl of ramen and come up with a concept to easily introduce those unfamiliar with authentic ramen to the exciting flavors of Japanese cuisine.

People may think they know ramen. Ramen Hood is here to change that.

You don’t have to be an experienced traveler or even a “foodie” to enjoy real ramen – we’re not talking about the instant stuff most everyone ate in college. We use traditional methods and quality ingredients, just like the ramen shops in Japan, and welcome all levels of ramen aficionados to enjoy our casual atmosphere with elevated service.
